Hi I’m James.

I have been working with Cloud Technologies for about 4 years now. That has mainly been focused on Amazon Web Services (AWS) the worlds largest Cloud provider. I have built environments from the ground up using a variety of AWS Services.

GDPR is the problem that most companies need help with right now. I can help with policies and procedures. I can also help with secure databases to host user data in AWS Cognito or DynamoDB.

I have spent some time looking into the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) which is renowned for its strong infrastructure. Google appears to be especially well suited to Big Data programmes although there is a good deal of crossover between both of these.

My Cloud work has spread across industries (SME’s, multi-nationals, finance, travel, entertainment) so I have a wide variety experience that can be applicable to many situations. My work has been strategic, consultative, programme management and hands on building.

Before working with Cloud I managed some large IT Infrastructure programmes and projects.  I started my computing career as a Microsoft Active Directory specialist working both as an architect and in other roles in the field of Identity and Access Management.

Now I am working through Insperitas intent on guiding companies of all sizes to make efficient and effective use of Cloud.

Whilst the best way to use Cloud Services is to fully embrace Cloud, most companies begin their Cloud journey via a less challenging route. Often this is in one of two ways:

  1. A desire to lift and shift existing servers. This will save on capital expense and could be a straightforward way to add a level of resilience.
  2. Use the Cloud as a backup facility.
